Capsule Endoscopy

CQC Registered Capsule Endoscopy

Simple and easy procedure in the comfort of a patient's own home

We provide an innovative capsule endoscopy solution (for small bowel and colon investigations) for both NHS Trusts and private patients.

We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission to show that we provide the highest levels of clinical governance, patient safety and the standards of care.

Capsule endoscopy involves a patient swallowing a capsule the size of a vitamin pill, which contains a small disposable camera.

The camera takes thousands of photographs as it travels along the patient’s gut. The camera then sends the images wirelessly to a data recorder worn around the waist.

These images are transmitted electronically to a portal where one of our specialists doctors who analyse the data and compile a report.

Benefits of capsule endoscopy:

Less invasive alternative to colonoscopy

Ideal for patients who require investigating for conditions such
as Anaemia and Crohn’s disease

Convenient and easy

Uses less clinical time, resources and budget
