We have successfully mobilised a new Breast Screening One Stop Service in Bedfordshire in under four weeks, helping to ensure patients can access safe, high-quality care through a fully staffed and operational service from day one.
The rapid mobilisation demonstrates what effective insourcing can achieve when NHS partners and delivery teams work collaboratively towards a shared goal: creating additional capacity while maintaining a clear focus on quality, governance and patient experience.
Working closely with the Trust, we coordinated every aspect of mobilisation, including workforce planning, compliance and governance, patient pathways, operational processes, site requirements and go-live support.
Sade Rezai, Assistant Director of Operations at 1 Clinical, who helped lead the mobilisation, said: “I’m incredibly proud to have helped lead this mobilisation to ensure women can access this vital service.
“We worked closely with the Trust and coordinated the workforce, compliance, governance, patient pathway, operational processes, site requirements and go-live support to ensure the service was safe, fully staffed and ready to deliver from day one.
“It was a fast-paced mobilisation in under four weeks, but a great example of what can be achieved with strong planning, collaboration and a clear focus on patient care.”
The success of the mobilisation was also recognised by Halina Williams, Breast Surgery Service Manager, who praised the speed and support provided by the 1 Clinical team.
Halina said: “A huge thank you to the 1 Clinical team for mobilising this contract so quickly and efficiently. Getting everything set up within just four weeks is seriously impressive!
“A very special shoutout to Sade, who has been absolutely incredible throughout.
“Nothing has ever been too much trouble. You’ve answered all my many questions, offered advice at every stage and made the whole process feel seamless.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you. Sade, you’re a real credit to 1 Clinical!”
This mobilisation reflects the importance of combining robust operational delivery with genuine partnership working. By bringing together experienced clinical teams, strong governance and carefully managed patient pathways, insourcing services can be established quickly while maintaining the standards of safety and quality patients and NHS partners expect.
